The Search Ends Here: Fast, Direct Deer Recovery
Losing the trail is every hunter's worst nightmare. When every minute counts, you shouldn't be wasting time scrolling through social media or "calling a guy who knows a guy" only to find out they’re three hours away or busy at work.
Dixie Deer Recovery is changing the game. We’ve built a high-tech bridge between hunters and a network of elite drone pilots and certified tracking dog teams.
Dixie Deer Recovery: Portal Purpose and Functionality
The Dixie Deer Recovery portal serves as a specialized dispatch and management hub designed to bridge the gap between hunters who have downed game and professional recovery trackers equipped with thermal drones or tracking dogs.
The system operates as a real-time marketplace for recovery services, ensuring high ethical standards and efficient game retrieval.
1. For the Hunter: Rapid Response & Tracking
When a hunter is in the field and needs assistance locating a deer, the platform acts as an emergency dispatch tool.
Geospatial Dispatch: Hunters can instantly capture their precise GPS coordinates using their phone’s location services. This eliminates the confusion of describing landmarks in the dark or in thick brush.
Service Selection: Hunters can specify the type of recovery they need—Thermal Drone (best for open canopies or large fields) or Tracking Dog (ideal for thick cover or aged blood trails).
Real-Time Status Tracking: Once a request is sent, hunters can monitor their "Hunter Portal" to see if a tracker has claimed the job, providing peace of mind that help is on the way.
Direct Accountability: The hunter receives the tracker's contact information immediately upon a "Claim," allowing for direct coordination.
2. For the Tracker: Job Management & Specialized Profiles
For professional recovery operators, the site serves as a mobile office and lead-generation tool.
Filtered Lead Alerts: Trackers receive notifications for new jobs in their area. The system intelligently filters these based on the equipment the tracker provides (Drone vs. Dog).
Active Assignment Management: Trackers have a dedicated "My Assignments" section. This keeps their current active recovery data (GPS coordinates, hunter phone numbers, and field notes) separate from the general job board.
Navigation Integration: With one tap, trackers can push the hunter's GPS coordinates into Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation to the recovery site.
Equipment Profiles: Trackers can update their profile at any time to reflect their current capabilities, ensuring they only receive jobs they are equipped to handle.
Professional Reciprocity: If a tracker arrives and realizes a different tool is needed (e.g., a dog is needed instead of a drone), they can "Unclaim" the job with a pass-along note, returning it to the board for another specialist.
